We had an interesting webinar about the history, nature and structure of Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) programs, and how they differ/are similar to autism support programs for matriculating students. If you registered for the webinar, you should have received an email with a recording of the webinar. If you are a CAN member and couldn’t make it to the webinar, but are interested, let me know and I will send you the link to the recording.
We didn’t, of course, have ample time for discussion. That’s the nature of webinars. I wonder if folks (ASP directors and staff) would be interested in having a follow-up discussion about these programs with a couple of topics in mind (and others you might have):
- How do we operationalize “collaboration”?
- How do we address broader campus issues when there are two different kinds of programs?
- IPSE programs are, in many cases, decently-funded from sources outside the campus. What impact does that have on reputation, collaboration, marketing?
Several of our CAN members are very familiar with IPSE programs and if this describes you, I hope you can bring your expertise to this discussion.
